The Royal Area in Hampi

Richer and more powerful than anyone including Bill Gates. The royal family decided every detail and lived secured in two gigantic areas. The smaller was the Summer Cottage of the queen.

A small part of the royal area with aqueducts from the river. All buildings were of wooden material and burnt 1565.

Lots of buildings and a couple of minor temples. All holes in the ground are water magasines or bath. Only the stone grounds remain.

Thousands of small pictures tell us what happened in legends, hunting and trade.

The royal temple is among the most saved.

The queen's Summer Cottage in a corner of the Summer area. It also has three towers for guards, a water palace in a great pond, house for the queens friends and a house for cooking, high walls for protection.

The royal elephant stables for eleven elephants are empty since 1565.
