By the river Tungabhadra at Hampi

All rivers in India are holy rivers for the hindus. Where the boarders for holy is, is unclear. Water give life and support society. More people ought to think of that when they pollute water. Hampi has its origin in the river Tungabhadra, now almost empty of water in the dry Winter season. At the beach and in the water there are very special boats in the form of bowls. They use them in all kind of fishing. I am sure the Kingfisher is doing better, diving from the sky into the water. Around the corner to the left hindus still burn dead people and put the ash into the river.

Tourists make sellers.

Up in the trees the monkeys live. Those with the darker faces are nicer. They probably speak Makakian.

It's easy to get them close to you when you treat them with sweets.
