Many
democratic orientated people agree with the Declarations of Rights and give all
humans the same value. But it is always hard to overlook that you yourself is
worth a bit more than others anyhow. As a guest in India you see that in some
ways. I am every day asked by young people on the beach to have a selfie with a
stranger. It is not the usual thing of starting a conversation and as soon as
possible try to sell something to you. No, they more over look at me as someone
exclusive to talk to. They are interested in where I come from and they readily
tell me of persons they know is living close to my hometown or country.
Nature has
given us a body, physics and colour of the skin that give us a maximum of chance
for survival in the area we live in. But like Michael Jackson some Indians
wants to get away from this and many companies are trying to sell methods for
getting a brighter skin. In the same manner I saw people in New Zeeland desperately
avoid any sunshine. This strange relation to the surroundings can be hard to
understand. If they are not satisfied, they ought to move. But they are
satisfied. Very satisfied with their middle class living. They just want to
have a nicer appeal. Sigh!
Man is using
since long before ice age a lot of jewelry to be more attractive. The compare
is often with the other Mrs in the cave. Tattoos is often a cultural sign,
along with clothes. Nowadays the tattoos are more popular because they have a
kind tough show off, If you want to appeal, you are gonna feel.
It is the
poor, and sometimes even the destitute, that give the middle class their really
value. A poor working class with high unemployment and often low rate of union
organisation, has no power to defend themselves for better salaries. The
employers decide and they do not spend unnecessary money. If you can use the workers from sheds and the
huts with low costs for their living, the less you spend. The middle class also
mirror themselves in the poor to feel better. On the other hand they also read
magazines with the glamour of the richest and get low in their comparison, but
also get new goals.
The history
invented the organized violence from the Power and turned people into slaves.
Thousand years ago most people lived in slavery under classes of Power. Most
religions took part against slavery as a disgusting way of treating people, but
they also placed themselves in the centre of Power and worked conservative.
It is easy to
see that I do not need to take care of my slaves if I can easily get new ones.
Very few revolts were started by the slaves and almost no managed. But many
slaves were brought to the battle fields to feed the canons.
To legalize
the violence of the Power and its use of slavery, the societies came up with a
lot of myths. The Vikings had their stories and so in all other kingdoms. The
rulers built temples and carried on the sacrifices of humans to show the power,
but also to instruct a system.
Here in India they constructed a caste system,
which simply told everyone that Swedes were much better than these damned Finns
and that the lapps were the lowest creature you could think of (translated to
Swedish terms). The system not only defined your personal value out of your
class, but also defined your occupation. To make all your hard efforts easier
people were told that they would get the chance of a better life in the next
life if they behaved well. The idea is copied between most religions.
Through
efforts and development of systems of more democratic views slavery and racist
systems were criminalized in most countries. Here in India and in most
countries, and the countries signed the Declaration of Rights and the Rights of
Children.
Today many more people live under circumstances of slavery, in Sweden as
well in India, and in all other countries in the world. The only difference is
that the systems are unlawful today. But it is as with passing the red light at
the pedestrian crossing. If you do
not have any punishment or anti activity, the slavery keeps on working. Newly
the Swedish Systembolaget selling alcohol to the Swedes was caught with
cooperating with slave dealers in wine productions. In what way do we punish
the responsible for taking part in such activities?
Now the friend of order protests against my
telling of slavery in Sweden. Where the hell is that Maniac Lennart finding
slavery in a nice country like Sweden? Well, there are many ways it works. Some
people still thinks that prostitutes freely work in the street. They are not.
So many times the story how gangsters recruit girls to prostitution have been
told, but still people seem not to understand. Slavery is always carried out with some violence. How
long would you stand torture? We can beat you til you give
up. Then we can use drugs to keep you or just prison your daughter or your
mother and threaten to kill them.
Often they
organize slavery in an easier way. You are just told that owe someone more
money than you ever can pay. The rest of your life you must pay off the all the
time increasing depth. These men in their clothes of the motor cycle club visit
you convincingly and are happy to show you what you have to expect if no money
is presented.
In many poorer countries, with a weaker system of rights for the
people, is this a big working system, where daughters are part of the payings,
if they are attractive enough. Maybe you believed that the prostitutes in
Thailand or other Asian countries freely locked themselves into prostitution?
Or that they freely moved to prostitution in Europe?
Now, the most
of the slavery is more over working to get the cheapest costs of labour.
Caste system
and slavery is forbidden in law in India, as it is forbidden to smoke in the
restaurants. There are signs everywhere. But if you light a cigarette they give
you an ash tray. Even the owner himself shows his attitude by smoking sometimes
.
If you ask an
Indian about the caste and the former system, he has nothing to add. There is
no such thing. It was so long time ago. But if you mention all the different
people that live in India, he can still place them as above and below. By
making a crime a crime by law we start a very slow process. It is only by an
active work on the Declaration of Rights in real life and the extinction of
powerty in the world, that we can reach the goals. To get there we need to
decrease to population of the world and construct societies based on solidarity
and equal possibility.
